card making experiment

This weekend I worked at learning some of the tools used in paper ed. I had a lot of fun playing with the spellbinder, grand calibur which is basically a big press for cutting paper shapes from different metal dies. It is very easy to use as long as you stack everything in the right order and use wax paper in between the paper and the embossing mat to keep the paper from bunching up.

These are just made using some pretty scrap booking paper, they could really be dressed up with other elements, some stamps, rhinestones, glitter or embossing ink. But I think they are kind of pretty just plain too.

I also played around with the fiskar border punches, super easy to use and cute results.

This is my famous bag of bags, it is a very sturdy shopping bag made out of recycled bags, every one is unique and I love to make them. I lined it with Loops and Thread Festive Fur yarn.
